Spectrum was a regional affairs program that ran from 1976 through 1979 (network stations individually broadcast programming of regional interest on Saturday mornings, of which, Spectrum was broadcast for 91.1 KSJN).
Spectrum presented a wide range of “local” subject matter. Everything from debates, speeches, documentaries, and long-form reports could be heard from week to week. Program included many well-known MPR voices, such Bob Potter, Debbie Gage, Rich Dietman, Neal St. Anthony, Dan Olson, and Dale Connelly, among others.

August 6, 1977 - Dr. David Cooperman, University of Minnesota sociology professor; and Robert Friedmann, graduate student at the University, present a pro-Israeli view on some aspects of the Middle East conflict. The moderator for the discussion is MPR’s Bob Potter.
August 13, 1977 - On this regional public affairs program, Bruce Vento, congressman of Minnesota's 4th district of St. Paul, talks with MPR’s Bob Potter and answers listener questions. Topics included energy bill, BCWA, and child abuse.
August 20, 1977 - On this regional public affairs program, guests Richard Miller, a Minneapolis alderman; Doug Frisbie, member of the Governor's Crime Commission; and Jim DeLaittre, an officer with the Minneapolis Police Department, discuss new concepts that the city of Minneapolis is considering in the fight against neighborhood burglary and street robbery.

September 3, 1977 - This regional public affairs program features taped speech of St. Paul Mayor George Latimer's State of the City address, titled “An Agenda for the Future of St. Paul”, followed by a live broadcast with the mayor answering listener questions.
September 10, 1977 - On this regional public affairs program, a look at the impact of declining enrollment in the new school year. Dr. Raymond Arveson, Minneapolis School superintendent; and Dr. George Young, St. Paul School superintendent, discuss the matter.
September 24, 1977 - On this regional public affairs program, a report on resource redemption and recycling as an economic viability. Neal St. Anthony interviews individuals at Metro Recycling Center and various government officials, who discuss the current issues and challenges of recycling.
