August 5, 2007 - Inspectors will begin examining another Minnesota bridge Sunday in the wake of the 35-W collapse. Bob McFarlin of the state Transportation Department says the Highway Sixty-One bridge over the Gooseberry River near the Lake Superior shore will be the fifth bridge inspected following Wednesday's disaster. McFarlin says the Gooseberry bridge has a structure that is similar, but not identical, to the 35-W bridge. He says the U.S. Transportation Department has ordered the state to inspect bridges of the type that collapsed in Minneapolis. McFarlin says the Gooseberry bridge was built in the 1990's.

January 17, 2007 - MPR’s William Wilcoxen reports on a Wisconsin man now facing a murder charge in connection with the killing of a Hmong hunter who was found shot and stabbed to death in a wildlife area near Green Bay earlier this month. The complaint against James Nichols also alleges that he made disparaging remarks about Hmong people to the investigators who questioned him.
