Weekend Edition’s Jim Wishner talks with MPR reporters Rich Dietman(KZSE-Rochester) and Joe Kelly(WSCN-Duluth/Superior) about storm impact outside the metro area. Both are at home, as their respective stations are off the air due to storm.
Rochester has been been by hit by early ice, late snow, and blizzard conditions. Power outages are numerous, including the KZSE radio station.
Duluth has received 30 inches of snow, which has closed almost all activity in the city.
In 2008, Minnesota's voters passed the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution: to protect drinking water sources; to protect, enhance, and restore wetlands, prairies, forests, and fish, game, and wildlife habitat; to preserve arts and cultural heritage; to support parks and trails; and to protect, enhance, and restore lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater.
