MPR’s Gary Eichten reports on caucus results in relation to abortion rights debate.

Jeri Rasmussen, member of Pro-Abortion DFL Feminist Caucus and the Abortion Rights Council, was optimistic about the publics reaction to the discussions at the caucus. Although the Catholic representatives anti-abortion stance did have a public impact of the potential of legalizing abortion.

Sandra Simmons, Assitant Executive Director for the Minnesota Citizens for Concerned for Life (MCCL), states that there wasn't much organizing before the caucus, which Simmons believes had a negative impact on pro-life turn-out at the caucus.
