May 5, 2003 - The latest Minnesota Public Radio Pioneer Press opinion poll shows overwhelming approval of George W. Bush's performance as president. The majority of respondents said the president is doing a "Good" to "Excellent" job. His handling of the war in Iraq gets particularly high marks. But even those who support the president say he must work hard to revive the domestic economy in order to remain popular. Minnesota Public Radio's Marisa Helms reports.

April 28, 2003 - As the Legislature heads into the closing days of the debate over how to eliminate the budget deficit, a Minneapolis couple has entered the fray. They've started a website and a lawn sign campaign and are calling on lawmakers to keep tax increases on the negotiating table. Minnesota Public Radio's Marisa Helms reports.
April 14, 2003 - Former President Bill Clinton says he agrees with the Bush administration's fight against terrorism. But, he said it's North Korea, not Iraq, that poses the biggest threat with its weapons of mass destruction. Clinton spoke last night to a sold out crowd of 15-hundred people at the Beth El Synagogue in St. Louis Park. During his speech, Clinton also assailed the Bush administration's tax cut proposal.
