April 16, 2013 - In an unlikely collaboration double Tony Award winning actor Mark Rylance joined forces with Duluth poet Louis Jenkins to create a new play about ice fishing at the Guthrie. Rylance, who is a Shakespearean by training wrote dialog to link several of Jenkins' poems about the wonders to be found in apparently ordinary things. Jenkins who never thought about being in theater before says he's loving the whle thing.
August 15, 2007 - Louis Jenkins is a poet who lives in Duluth. He's a regular guest on A Prairie Home Companion. He writes prose poems - short paragraphs that turn everyday life into sparkling bits of homespun philosophy and sardonic humor. He's just come out with a new book, called "North of the Cities."

October 9, 1974 - Documentary on Southwestern Minnesota tour of ‘Minnesota Poetry Out Loud’ - a week-long caravan of Minnesota poets operating out of Camden State Park, south of Marshall, giving formal and informal readings at the end of July 1974.
May 27, 1973 - Part four of the MER documentary series, A Sense of Place. Program is titled “How You Gonna Keep 'Em Down on the Farm?” and focuses on life on the farm and of the farmer.
