Dubcek address was titled “Trade with the Czech Slovak Federated Republic.” He talked of the economic future of his country. Dubcek spoke through a translator. Former Governor Elmer L Andersen introduced Alexander Dubcek.

October 16, 1979 - MPR’s Claudia Hampston profiles Minnesota author Sigurd Olson as he receives honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters from the University of Minnesota. Olson was honored for his environmental writing and efforts in protecting the wilderness of Minnesota.
March 11, 1976 - Midday presents Martin Bunzl's documentary on U.S. Senator Hubert Humphrey. Bunzl traveled with Humphrey for several weeks collecting information for this production. Program contains various speeches, commentary, interviews, and advertising/music clips.
November 8, 1974 - Chairman of University of Minnesota Board of Regents Elmer Anderson answers questions regarding the appointment of former University of Minnesota president Malcolm Moos. Also a discussion by President C. Peter Magrath of re-establishing University interests in mineral industry in the state through increased funding from government sources.
October 4, 1974 - Elmer Anderson, Board of Regents Chairman, describes a visit and speech by Dr. Saxon, who saw the strengths of the University of Minnesota as being centrally located. The matter of religion did not enter into the decision.
