August 17, 2001 - With an upcoming KKK rally scheduled to happen in Minneapolis/ St.Paul, Mark Potok, of Klanwatch at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery Alabama, discusses current status of the KKK in the United States. Potok states that he does not see much activity in Minnesota. He also presents recommendations on how to counter event and hate group activity.
August 20, 2001 - North America, Australia and New Zealand are the only areas that remain untouched by foot and mouth disease. Officials at Minnesota's county fairs, and soon, the State Fair would like to keep it that way.
August 21, 2001 - Mainstreet Radio's Mark Steil profiles the The Continental Co-ets, one of the first all-girl garage bands from the 1960’s. Steil interviews Co-et’s guitarist Carolyn Behr and drummer Vicki Steinmen. Others involved with band’s history also make comments.
August 23, 2001 - One of the new exhibits at the State Fair is the Miracle of Birth Center. Eight cows, 12 sows, and 16 ewes are set to give birth, while fairgoers watch. It's a kind of animal maternity ward. Dr. Mary Olson, a vet, says timing the births to coincide with the fair is a little tricky.
August 24, 2001 - MPR’s Chris Julin reports on the public premiere of an underwater fishcam placed into the depths of Lake Superior. The camera provides a glimpse into the activity going on beneath the lake surface.
August 27, 2001 - MPR’s Kaomi Goetz reports on how some Hmong face cultural hurdles to mental health care. A murder case of a Hmong immigrant that stabbed to death two of her children illustrates a larger problem confronting the Hmong community…how to recognize and effectively treat mental illness.
August 28, 2001 - Morning Edition’s Cathy Wurzer interviews Dave Kinney, a reporter with The Newark Star Ledger, about Governor Ventura’s appearance at a New Jersey political fundraiser. Ventura campaigned for Bill Schulter, a Republican state senator, who is running as a New Jersey gubernatorial candidate as an Independent.

September 3, 2001 - Midday’s Gary Eichten broadcasts live from the Minnesota State Fair. His guests are two of Minnesota's top crime-fighters…Hennepin County Attorney Amy Klobuchar and Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner.
September 3, 2001 - For the final day of the 2001 Minnesota State Fair, MPR’s Cathy Wurzer interviews Jerry Hammer, executive vice president of the State Fair, about the attendance and overview of how this year’s State Fair has gone.
