The plan would allow sea-kayakers the ability to paddle and view the lake from a different perspective. While the concept has support from many politicians and environmentalists, some are concerned that no study has been completed into the potential negative impact to the shore via the access points.

November 17, 1994 - MPR’s Lorna Benson reports on the official sanctioning of girls hockey in Minnesota high schools. Many players and coaches see it as something long overdue.
January 2, 1995 - Midday’s Gary Eichten interviews Sandy Stephens, former Minnesota Gopher quarterback about his recollections of playing in the Rose Bowl. Stephens was the first African American All-American starting quarterback at University of Minnesota.
January 26, 1995 - Local attorney Amy Klobuchar discusses the making of the sporting dome facility in Minneapolis. In 1982, Klobuchar wrote the book Uncovering the Dome, a history of the political dealings that finally ended with the construction of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
February 1, 1995 - MPR’s Marilyn Butler reports on the Minnesota Twins organization completing annual winter caravan, despite an ongoing Major League Baseball strike. That leaves the Twins traveling without star players and looking at the possibility of replacement players for an upcoming MLB 1995 season.
