October 18, 2004 - Politicians and friends of Senator Paul Wellstone will unveil plans for a memorial near Eveleth tomorrow (TUES). The memorial will be near the place where Wellstone and seven others died in a plane crash two years ago. Connie Lewis is with Wellstone Action. She says the memorial will include walking paths, and information about Wellstone's work, and about each of the others who died in the crash.

November 2, 2004 - Mainstreet Radio's Tom Robertson reports that a Minnesota poll shows most Minnesotans favor a gaming proposal from Governor Tim Pawlenty. The governor wants Indian tribes to share some of their gambling revenue with the state. The poll conducted last week also shows a majority of Minnesotans are opposed to an expansion of gambling in the state.
November 8, 2004 - It was a busy weekend for Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty. Yesterday, the governor ran the New York City Marathon and finished in less than four hours. On Saturday, he shot a four-point buck during the Governor's deer hunting opener near Grand Rapids. Pawlenty established a governor's hunting opener last year, but this was the first time he actually took a shot at a deer. Twin Cities writer Dennis Cass, who had never been hunting before, was in Grand Rapids gathering material for a story that will appear in a future edition of the Minnesota Monthly. He joins us now. That is writer Dennis Cass. His story about deer hunting will be featured in a future edition of the Minnesota Monthly magazine.
November 18, 2004 - Mainstreet Radio’s Annie Baxter reports that The Mille Lacs Band is stepping out of negotiations with Governor Pawlenty over a casino profit-sharing partnership. The band made the announcement in a letter sent to the governor.
