August 23, 2022 - MPR’s Dan Kraker reports on a rare breed that has adapted to the forests along the Minnesota-Canadian border. It's called the Lac la Croix Pony, or the Ojibwe horse. April 19, 2023 - MPR’s Alex Cipolle reports on “Latin Art in Minnesota: Conversations and What’s Next” a hardcover art tome featuring in-depth interviews with 12 Minnesota artists who have roots in Central and South America, from Mexico to Chile. William “Billy” Gustavo Franklin edited the book, which explores their art, personal journeys, and conversations about identity, aiming to bridge gaps and inspire a wider audience to appreciate Latino art.
May 5, 2023 - MPR’s Alex V. Cipolle profiles St. Paul artist Liz Sexton, who is elevating papier-mâché to high art. Sexton creates lifelike papier-mâché animal masks and sculptures for her solo exhibition "Liz Sexton: Out of Water" at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, highlighting environmental issues through her unique art form.
May 10, 2023 - All Things Considered’s Tom Crann talks with David and Mandy Yang, family members of Jennifer Yang, a 36-year-old Anoka County woman, who was killed by her husband in what was ruled as a murder-suicide. The Yang’s discuss the need for Hmong families to have conversations regarding domestic violence.
