MPR’s Euan Kerr reports on Penumbra Theatre mounting its first show after almost closing its doors. Penumbra is staging Spunk, three short stories of Zora Neale Hurston adapted by Jelly's Last Jam writer George C. Wolfe.
The cast and crew of the play Spunk say they hope the production will be both a thank you to the people who saved the company from oblivion, and a reminder of what was almost lost.
