Dudley Voigt, co-founder of Teens Rock the Mic, comments on writer benefit.

Several acclaimed writers and poets will be performing in Minneapolis to benefit a group of teen spoken word artists. The lineup includes Patricia Hampl, Alexs Pate and Ellen Bryant Voight. They are trying to raise money for Teens Rock the Mic, a group of young inner city poets based in the Twin Cities. Dudley Voigt says she asked her mother, Ellen Bryant Voigt, to participate in the fundraiser and bring some friends, and says the writers will perform for the young poets.
