Officials at the Minnesota Department of Health are examining the brain of the tiger who bit a 7-year-old Rochester girl last Sunday. The two-year old rare white Siberian Tiger was destroyed today after a last-minute appeal to save its life was rejected. State health officials say they were carrying out state law--which says the tiger had to be euthanized to be checked for rabies. Doctor Keith Friendshuh (friend-SHOE) is the Assistant Executive Director of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health. He says the Department DID consider other options.
