MPR’s Tasha Rosenfeld talks with Bob Frame, executive director of The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, about organization’s list of the state's "ten most endangered historic properties." The annual register includes typical historic sites, including an old school house, a series of stone arch bridges, and Minnesota's oldest hospital. But at the top of the list is the Guthrie Theater, a structure built just four decades ago.
The Guthrie plans to move to a new site and the Walker, which owns the property, has plans to raze the building to make way for its own expansion. Frame says the Guthrie may not be a typical historical site but it deserves to be saved.
