The University of Minnesota broke ground on a 20 million dollar building designed to make the school a center for leading-edge biotechnology research. U officials are calling the enterprise a prime example of a public-private partnership in the name of higher education. They also tout it as the first big example of the U's drive into more interdisciplinary scientific research. Minnesota Public Radio's Andrew Haeg reports.
