Some of those profiting from the long economic boom are looking to give away a portion of their fortunes. These newly minted philanthropists are younger, and more racially and ethnically diverse than their predecessors. They're also helping to re-think traditional ideas about philanthropy. Some of these new generation givers gathered with business and non-profit leaders in St. Paul today to consider the role of philanthropy in an age of prosperity.
