MPR's Andrew Haeg went out on St. Paul's Grand Avenue this afternoon to witness this years gift finding frenzy.

According to a poll by the International Mass Retail Association, in 1998 more than 60 percent of consumers hadn't finished their Christmas shopping by Christmas Eve, another 13 percent hadn't even started.
