MPR’s Annie Feidt tests out the snow with a few cross-country skiers as they hit the trails at Trollhaugen and hope for more snow.
1999 is the second year skiers have had to suffer through a less than adequate start to the season. Until the real snow hits, Trollhaugen, a downhill ski area just over the border in Wisconsin, is offering relief to desperate nordic skiers. Trollhaugen had a good base of man-made snow and has opened its trails to cross-country skiers four mornings a week.
