October 9, 2001 - Heritage Farms in Decorah, Iowa grows heirloom seeds. The seeds came from all over the world, some from Bavaria and some from the Mayflower. Some are seeds from Thomas Jefferson's lettuces and General Lee's tomatoes. Now they are all being grown in Iowa.
September 27, 2001 - MPR's Laurel Druley reports that Governor Ventura told the citizens of Rochester he supports President Bush's plan to call up National Guard troops to tighten security at airports across the nation. His comments came as the Governor spent the day in Rochester talking with state employees.

September 3, 2001 - FOR MONDAY MORNING Getting ready for school can be an expensive task for many. The cost of a new box of crayons, a backpack and a couple notebooks can add up. Some families can't afford to equip their children for school. So each year, many teachers spend money out of their own pockets to ensure students are prepared. In Rochester a community-supported program called "Running Start" will help out about 12-hundred students this year. Mainstreet Radio's Laurel Druley has more.
August 20, 2001 - North America, Australia and New Zealand are the only areas that remain untouched by foot and mouth disease. Officials at Minnesota's county fairs, and soon, the State Fair would like to keep it that way.
August 14, 2001 - Mainstreet Radio's Laurel Druley reports on housing struggles some migrant workers find themselves in while working in the southern Minnesota town of Plainview. Four months out of the year, the population of 3,190 grows by more than 200 residents. Migrant workers come to town to can peas and corn at Lakeside Foods. But while the work is there, housing is not, leaving many temporary workers searching for a place to call home.
