February 10, 1997 - Minnesota storyteller, playwright and actor Kevin Kling says his storytelling is from personal experience. The stories use humor because Kling says humor is a solvent that helps us accept the difficulty of our lives. Today on our Voices of Minnesota interview, Kevin Kling talks about storytelling. Riding the 21A bus line between St. Paul and Minneapolis was the source for one of Kling's best known works. "Fear and Loving" is a new collection of Kling stories about growing up. He was recently on stage at the Jungle Theatre in Minneapolis playing one of the leads in "Waiting for Gadot". Kling was born in Missouri and grew up in the Twin Cities suburbs of Brooklyn Center and Maple Grove.
December 11, 1996 - Twin Cities playwright Kevin Kling takes to the stage of the Jungle Theatre in Uptown Minneapolis tomorrow night for the annual seasonal run of sacred and possibly heretical Christmas stories. It was a Freudian slip, I swear, when I asked Kevin to explain the show, and I referred to it as Fear and LOATHING in Minneapolis.

March 20, 1996 - MPR’s John Rabe presents the Second Annual Minnesota Public Radio Snowman Burning. Program celebrates winter’s demise and the coming of spring with poetry from listeners, music from the Cafe Accordion Orchestra, weather with Mark Seeley, ritual tales from Brandi Parisi, the humor of Kevin Kling, and the ritual burning of an eight foot snowman with color commentary from MPR’s Dan Olson.
