We also monitor what's happening when the clock strikes 12 around the world.
December 20, 1999 - Only twelve days to Y2K. Do you know where your bottled water and ramen noodles are ? Your money? Do you know how to keep your computer happy? There are some things you can try to ward off the millennium bug, but as Minnesota Public Radio's Jon Gordon reports, you just might beat it by doing nothing at all.

September 27, 1999 - You don't have to get up at three in the morning and squeeze into a pair of long johns to go deer hunting anymore. Hunters are now stalking deer and other animals on their computers. As Minnesota Public Radio's Jon Gordon reports, a Twin Cities software company leads the way in virtual hunting and fishing.
April 20, 1999 - The 90's have been tough for independent bookstores. They've lost customers to big chains such as Barnes & Noble and Borders. The latest multi-Billion dollar blockbuster has Internet directory service Yahoo! buying the online community GeoCities. Other recent deals include America Online's purchase of Netscape, and high-speed Internet access company At Home's acquisition of Excite, a popular Internet directory. As Minnesota Public Radio's Jon Gordon reports, the consolidation frenzy is likely to affect average Internet users in some very real ways.
October 6, 1998 - Tomorrow marks the beginning of a major public service campaign on the Internet, designed to help people find information about the fall elections. The project, called "Web White and Blue",indexes more than 45 web sites that provide political information to voters. As Minnesota Public Radio's Jon Gordon reports, "Web White and Blue" offers more proof the 'Net is maturing as a medium for politics.
