On September 4th and 5th, MPR will broadcast debates with the leading candidates. And from now until the primary on September 11th, we'll also give you a chance to hear from the OTHER candidates. You can hear the Minneapolis candidates on Morning Edition and the St. Paul candidates will be right here on All Things Considered. Today, we hear from David Buehler. The 52-year-old former marine has lived in St. Paul for about four years. He was recently layed off his job as a driver for Honeywell. Buehler says he is running for mayor to bring a working-class perspective to the race.

August 22, 2001 - Bear hunting season in Minnesota begins today, and the Department of Natural Resources hopes it's a good year for hunters. The number of bears has increased in the state to about 30-thousand, and with it, the potential for more incidents with humans. To help hunters bring in a bigger harvest, the DNR is raising the bag limit for the first time from one bear to 2.
