October 16, 1979 - MPR’s Claudia Hampston profiles Minnesota author Sigurd Olson as he receives honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters from the University of Minnesota. Olson was honored for his environmental writing and efforts in protecting the wilderness of Minnesota.
August 8, 1979 - Michael Fedo, author, talks with Claudia Hampsten, about his new book "They Was Just Niggers" about the the Duluth lynching of three black men in 1920.
January 17, 1979 - Interview with sculptor Leif Brush, of Duluth. Brush was one of five Minnesotans that won $10,000 grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board for annual fellowships. Includes sound segments.
