April 1, 2002 - MPR’s Art Hughes reports that Minnesota Public Radio has announced plans to expand its programming by creating a third statewide network to compliment its existing news and music channels. The new network will be all silent…and in stereo!
October 18, 2001 - MPR’s Bill Catlin reports on Minnesota Public Radio announcement to expand its headquarters in downtown St. Paul. The non-profit will acquire a building across the street from its current headquarters for nearly $8 million. The package also includes a vacant piece of land, and will be financed by grants and a $3 million city loan.
January 22, 1997 - Bill Kling, president of Minnesota Public Radio, appears on Midday to talk about MPR's 30th anniversary, the future of public radio, and answers listener questions. Host Gary Eichten begins conversation by asking Kling about the first day on air.

December 26, 1990 - Midday’s Bob Potter asks MPR President Bill Kling about the organization’s purchase of WLOL for $12 million, giving MPR two FM frequencies in the Twin Cities. The result of purchase would move classical programming from 91.1(KNOW) to 99.5(KSJN) and provide ability for fulltime news programming on KNOW.
