September 29, 2014 - MPR’s Matt Sepic reports on the dismissal of Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire, as well as the entire coaching staff. The action came after four straight seasons of the team losing more than 90 games each of those year. Despite a rough four years, Gardenhire leaves the Twins having a winning record overall and six titles in his 13 seasons as team manager.
April 8, 2014 - The Oakland Athletics beat the home team Minnesota Twins 8-3 at Target Field. The loss was the team's third straight home opening loss…and it happened in front of the smallest Opening Day crowd since Target Field opened in 2010.
April 1, 2013 - In their earliest ever home opener, chilly was the word of the day at Target Field as the Minnesota Twins battled against the Detroit Tigers. Temperatures were in the 30s, and fans were layered in extra attire in the stands. The game also had a chilly result, as the Twins lost 4-2.

April 3, 2010 - The Minnesota Twins christened Target Field with an 8-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The exhibition game gave Twins players and staff a chance to get used to their new digs.
October 5, 2009 - MPR’s Brandt Williams reports that with the Minnesota Twins winning last regular season game in the Metrodome, they have one more now…a one-game playoff with the Detroit Tigers.
September 29, 2008 - The Minnesota Twins won their regular season finale by shutting out the Kansas City Royals 6-0 at the Metrodome. The victory allowed the Twins to finish the season in first place in the American League's Central Division…but they're still not sure if they're division champions. The Twins will learn more about their future after their rivals, the Chicago White Sox, make up a game that was rained out earlier this month but is now critical to the division standings.
September 26, 2008 - The Minnesota Twins took over first place in the American League Central in dramatic fashion, beating the Chicago White Sox 7-6 in extra innings. The win gave the Twins a sweep over Chicago and a half game lead in the division….but, there are still three games left in the 2008 regular season.
