October 20, 1992 - Minnesota Public Radio hired Bob in 1980 to anchor the local show connected with National Public Radio's "Morning Edition" program. "I believed that the skills I developed as a reporter, talk show host and press secretary might be valuable to corporate executives who interact with the news media," Bob says, "so I called some business people I knew and started a communication consulting and coaching firm." This eventually took all of his time, so he quit the voice and MPR jobs.
