January 10, 1975 - MPR’s Kim Hodgson reports from Worthington as a blizzard begins to wreak havoc on the area. The positive is that the snow brings much needed moisture; the negative is more literal…a minus 27-degree wind-chill.
January 13, 1975 - MPR’s Steve Monroe reports on blizzard’s aftermath in Worthington, Minnesota. This includes an interview with young entrepreneur Steve Erebus, who is dealing with damaged greenhouses that contained orchids.
January 14, 1975 - MPR’s Dan Olson interviews a man who visited Gresham Alexian Novitiate after Menominee Warrior Society takeover. Interviewee talks about who comprises novitiate occupiers, describes an Indian grand jury held to determine the complaints people had on the reservation, discusses how Menominee land lost for taxes and then sold, and an explanation of the Menominee tribe’s situation compared with other tribes in a white-dominated society.
January 17, 1975 - Minnesota Senator Hubert Humphrey holds a press conference on January, 10 1975 in the Twin Cities. He talks about the United States in international matters, the energy crisis, and the economy.
January 20, 1975 - MPR’s Kevin McKiernan reports on continued occupation of the Gresham Novitiate, which is in its 20th day. Tensions remain high, with issues and demands of Indians inside starting to escalate and 350 National Guardsmen surrounding the abbey. Possession of abbey appears as a vehicle for exposing problems seething for many years.
January 21, 1975 - Minnesota Legislative agenda, preview today: Welfare Dept says that more than 3000 patients now in state hospitals for mentally ill, retarded, and chemically dependent could be placed in community facitilies if and when such facilities become available. Money gap between Gov. Anderson budget allocation and Welfare request. How can community facilities provide more than custodial care? Also briefing on vocational and technical education, House Urban Affairs committee will hear about population trends, land use, housing, solid waste management, and transit.
January 21, 1975 - MPR’s Kim Hodgson reports on the aftermath a little over a week since the “Blizzard of the Century” on the Northern Plains. Damage estimate numbers on livestock lost at about 1% to 3% of livestock inventory, totaling $1.3 million for seven county area.

January 24, 1975 - Interview with Kevin McKiernan on tape recorded at the Alexian Novitiate on January 22, 1975. McKiernan details what transpired in creating recording of interview and getting tape out of Gresham.
January 29, 1975 - Charles P. Reinert, Ph.D. Dept. of Chemistry/Physics at Southwest Minnesota State College in Marshall, discusses agriculture and energy. Dr. Reinert was a member of the Governor's Energy Policy Task Force for the State of Minnesota.
