January 23, 1986 - Confirmation from Mower Co. Sheriff Wayne Goodnature that six arrests were made this morning at Hormel plant. 25 cars were stopped and locked and not running on east and west exit ramps. Mulcahey phoner.
January 24, 1986 - Reps. from Hormel and Local P9 meeting in in state mediator?s office near capitol in St. Paul. Paula Shroeder reports: Relationship between factfinder Arnold Zack and Allen Zack, spokesman for international union uncovered by Austin Herald newspaper; article says the two are related. Union upset, claims conspiracy against the union because of Arnold Zack's influence over the talks. Arnold says he doesn?t know Allen. Talks continue. Arnold Zack: he?s not here as a mediator, it?s up to the parties involved, too broad to bridge, I hope not. Union leaders have postponted tonight?s rank and file meeting until tomorrow night.
