May 26, 1998 - MPR’s Lynette Nyman reports on the fourth Citizen's Forum on the Governor's Race, held in four locations around the state on Friday, May 22, 1998. The subject of forum was crime. People from across the state gathered in Duluth, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Mankato to discuss and develop questions for the candidates running for Governor of Minnesota.
June 2, 1998 - Constance Swank, Research Director of the AARP, discusses American Association of Retired Persons study about the opinions of "Baby Boomers" about their retirement years. June 8, 1998 - A coalition of Hmong agencies and Ramsey County have announced a 10-year plan to curb violence in the Hmong community. While the plan is more a call to action than a series of concrete recommendation, organziers say it is historic because it represents the first time the Hmong community has acknowledged violence is a problem. MPR’s Chris Roberts talks with some of those involved with plan.
