September 29, 1975 - Kevin McKiernan spent several weeks in South Dakota reporting on various events in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation - including the fatal shooting of two FBI agents and an Indian at the end of June. While there, McKiernan had a conversation with a Rapid City businessman, the night manager of a Western goods store, who asks to remain anonymous. The businessman discusses how Indian people are viewed by some people in the Rapid City white community.

While there, McKiernan recorded the attitudes and feelings of South Dakota residents, both white and Indian. This is an interview with Pine Ridge medicine man Selo Black Crow. Black Crow begins by relating the story of a white sheriff who leased his land to a third party for cattle grazing. Black Crow imprisoned the cattle and was threatened by the FBI with a charge of cattle rustling. Here is his account of the standoff and its resolution.
October 31, 1975 - Psychotherapist, author and lecturer Dr. Rollo May speaking at Augsburg College. May’s address was titled "Awareness and Community." Dr. May was key note speaker at a conference entitled, "Exploring Personal Options Within Community", sponsored by the Women's Center of the Saint Paul YWCA and Augsburg College. His speech examined the tension produced when one's private environment expands and comes into conflict with one's public environment.
April 28, 1976 - Businessman Luigino “Jeno” Francesco Paulucci, self-described “peddler from the Iron Range”, speaking in Hibbing about the Range and it's economic problems.
August 7, 1976 - On this regional public affairs program, a discussion on trends regarding the health of the city of Minneapolis. After a downturn of 1950s-1960s due to suburban growth, the 1970’s show positive changes, including increase in middle- and upper-income families moving back into the city, and investment in neighborhoods and older buildings.
October 2, 1976 - On this regional public affairs program, a discussion on residential burglary in Minnesota. Burglary was the subject of an intensive study by the Citizens League recently, and the League issued a report entitled, "Suppressing Burglary."

Dan Olson interviews Alexander Dean and Jim Schoettler, both from the Metropolitan Planning Commission, about strategizing land use in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, including farming.
