May 26, 2003 - The Memorial Day weekend is the traditional start for the summer tourist season. Tourism contributes nearly $10 billion to Minnesota's economy. May 27, 2003 - Lots of people want to change the world. The Solar Oven Society in Minneapolis wants to do that with a simple tool--- a dark, heat- trapping box with a clear lid. May 28, 2003 - All across Minnesota today (Wednesday) people wanting to carry a gun in public began filling out permit applications under the state's new concealed weapons law. The start of the new law also proved to be a rallying point for opponents. Minnesota Public Radio's Art Hughes reports.
May 28, 2003 - One week into the special session, the Minnesota House has passed a transportation bill that could put as much as 900-million dollars into road projects over the next four years. The bill would borrow for projects and use an advance of federal money, an approach criticized by Democrats as short-sighted.
