November 28, 2001 - Amnesty International is issuing an urgent call for its one million members to write letters to President Bush to protest the detention of Zacarias Moussaoui, (Moo-SOW-ee) a French citizen allegedly connected to the September 11th attacks. Moussaoui was arrested in Eagan last August, but has not been formally charged by the Justice Department. Shortly after September 11th, the FBI labeled Moussaoui the twentieth hijacker. But government officials backed away from that claim earlier this month.
November 29, 2001 - Major League Baseball owners say they plan to move ahead with contraction and the fate of the Minnesota Twins is still unclear. The Twins are a big story in the Twin Cities, but we wondered how the baseball saga is playing in Fargo. Mainstreet Radio's Dan Gunderson hit the streets to find out.

Vänskä discusses his approach in building relationship with musicians as he raised his baton to conduct the Minnesota Orchestra for the first time since being named music director. While he doesn't officially assume the post until 2003, it's apparent he and the orchestra are keen to get working.

The response to the idea from Legislature has not been favorable and they are being vocal about it.
