July 2, 1996 - A federal judge has allowed ousted White Earth tribal leaders to remain free before they are sentenced on corruption charges. Prosecutors wanted former White Earth tribal chairman Darrell "Chip" Wadena jailed along with co-defendants, former secretary-treasurer Jerry Rawley and council member Rick Clark.
