June 2, 1986 - Fed district court Judge Edward Devitt orders local P-9 union members to turn over assets and co-operate with International union trustee Joe Hanson. International union makes settlement offer to Hormel to try to save as many worker jobs as possible. Hormel VP Chuck Nyberg says talks will be arranged with Hanson, bite "strike is offically over".
