March 26, 2009 - MPR’s Tim Post interviews various students, college administrators, and politicians on how they feel about attendees of private for-profit institutions being restricted from the State Grant Program. such institutions include business schools, truck driving schools, and barber colleges.
April 2, 2009 - As the Minnesota Twins study who will be on the roster when the regular season begins, one hoping to make the club is relief pitcher R.A. Dickey, who was acquired in the off-season. The Twins believe that Dickey's signature pitch, the knuckleball, will be particularly effective inside the Metrodome.
April 7, 2009 - MPR’s Brandt Williams attends the last home opener at the Metronome for the Minnesota Twins. While many fans and Twins officials are excited to play in the new ballpark starting in 2010, some are appreciative of the quirky venue that has been home to two Major League Baseball World Series championship teams.
April 17, 2009 - MPR’s Tim Post reports on application numbers going up at the University of Minnesota and state colleges and universities; however, application numbers are down somewhat at private colleges in the state for fall 2009.

May 14, 2009 - MPR’s Stephanie Hemphill reports that critics of Minnesota's new ballast water permit system will argue in court that the system doesn't do enough to protect Lake Superior from invasive species. They say with a deadly fish virus infesting every Great Lake except Lake Superior, the state needs to act more quickly and more effectively.
May 19, 2009 - MPR’s Tom Scheck reports that the number of people on the state's payroll has grown even though thousands of government employees have retired since Governor Tim Pawlenty ordered a hiring freeze at state agencies.
June 1, 2009 - There are over 50,000 Hmong people in Minnesota, but very few Hmong restaurants and no mainstream Hmong cookbooks... until now. The University of Minnesota Press has just published "Cooking from the Heart: the Hmong Kitchen in America."
