July 5, 1983 - MPR’s Dan Olson profiles the local "Hurricane Alice: A Feminist Review" magazine. Olson interviews Martha Roth, executive editor of the publication, about the purpose of feminist journal.
July 8, 1983 - Author Bob Moore discusses special aspects of Route 66 and the idea of presenting a TV experience of the historic American roadway.
August 29, 1983 - Robert Collins reviews the Penumbra Theater production Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope. The play celebrates Black survival and success in America through a mix of gospel, jazz, funk, and soul music, addressing themes of racial and economic injustice with vibrant song and dance.
September 8, 1983 - Merrill Swanson, public relations director for the Minnesota Vikings, discusses Krazy George Henderson, who has been hired as a “cheerleader” of sorts. It’s a far cry from a few years earlier, when Henderson was seen as a disruption in the stands by the team.
