MPR Archive portal presents a small curation of audio material on the artistic genius of renowned classical guitarist Sharon Isbin.
Born in Minneapolis, Isbin started playing guitar at a young age, culminating in music study overseas and a degree from Yale. She has become a prolific award-winning recording and performance artist. She also has been a long career as an educator at Julliard, developing numerous programs, as well as director of the Guitar Department at the Aspen Music Festival.
