October 23, 2009 - Kate DiCamillo discusses her books with MPR's Cathy Wurzer at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. "Because of Winn-Dixie" and "The Tale of Despereaux" won Newbery Awards and were made into movies. Her newest book is "The Magician's Elephant." Guest: Kate DiCamillo: Award-winning author of several children's books, including "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" and "The Tiger Rising," which was a finalist for the National Book Award.
September 18, 2010 - Today is F. Scott Fitzgerald's birthday, and the theater that bears his namesake is turning 100 years old. To mark the occasion, author Patricia Hampl presents an original production, "The Big Time: F. Scott Fitzgerald." It's a staged storytelling of F. Scott Fitzgerald's vision of making it big. The performance was created by Hampl and music director Dan Chouinard, and it features singer Blake Hazard, who is Fitzgerald's great-grandaughter.
December 3, 2010 - A special broadcast of Kevin Kling's play, "Scarecrow on Fire." Based on the classic tale "The Wizard of Oz," the play picks up where that story left off.
