MPR’s Jim Bickal reports that the Minnesota Twins have renewed their contract with third baseman Gary Gaetti, signing the older player. Gaetti has played for the Twins since 1981.
Gaetti was a member of 1987 World Series team and MVP of that year's American League Championship Series against the Detroit Tigers. Gaetti became the first player ever to hit home runs in his first two postseason plate appearances during that championship run.
