Governor Dayton and the state executive council have approved a 30-day extension of the emergency declaration issued after Sunday's tornado in north Minneapolis .Damage to public infrastructure is already estimated at $16 million, but Dayton said he expects the total damage to be much higher. For 11-hundred residents, operations proceeded more smoothly at the Tornado Recovery Center in North Minneapolis today. About 2500 storm victims showed up on the first two days of operations Wednesday and Thursday, and by today, incident commanders and residents agreed they had worked out many of the kinks.
