Members of Minnesota's Hmong communities are worried about the fate of nearly 44-hundred Hmong refugees removed from a border camp in Thailand. The Associated Press reports the Thai government believes most of the Hmong are migrant workers, not legitimate asylum seekers. Thai soldiers trucked the refugees to Laos. Lee Pao Xiong is the Director of the Center for Hmong Studies at Concordia University. He says the Thai government won't allow others to monitor how it determines the status of people living in the camps.
