A United Nations human rights expert has agreed to listen to testimony from Hmong families in the Twin Cities about the desecration of the graves of loved ones back in Thailand. Hundreds of bodies were dug up from an area near a Buddhist temple where Hmong refugees once lived three years ago. The UN official was invited by the University of Minnesota's Human Rights program which has been working on the Hmong graves desecration issue. The director of the program, Barbara Frey, says this hearing is the natural next step in resolving the matter.
