Hmong town hallShare

Hundreds of people turned out Saturday for a Minnesota Senate candidate event in St. Paul. Candidates Al Franken, Norm Coleman and Dean Barkley spoke to a mostly Hmong crowd in a town hall forum at the Lao Family Center. With just over a week until Election Day, organizers say it's important that candidates respond to the concerns of Minnesota's Hmong community. Dai Thao is a community organizer with Take Action Minnesota, a non-partisan group working to educate voters. He says, like most Americans, Hmong voters are most concerned with domestic issues like health care and the economy.
