Minneapolis police chief Tim Dolan says the corruption charges filed against officer Mike Roberts should not reflect negatively on the rest of the department. Roberts pleaded not guilty to charges that he gave confidential information to a gang member in exchange for money. Roberts attorney says he was set up. Roberts has been an officer since 1981. During his time on the force, Roberts has received two letters of reprimand and was suspended without pay briefly in 1996. Roberts is African-American and some black leaders have accused Dolan of unfairly disciplining officers of color. Dolan denied those allegations.
