The Douglas County Attorney's office has cleared two Alexandria police officers in the shooting death of a Sauk Rapids man. 28-year-old Brian Skold was killed during a standoff last month near Osakis after a chase on I-94. Prosecutor Christopher Karpan says Skold refused to surrender and fired a round of birdshot in the air.
