One of the best pitchers in Minnesota Twins history says goodbye to the baseball team, as Brad Radke confirms that he is retiring after 12 years as one of the Twins' steadiest pitchers. Radke was Minnesota's Opening Day starter for nine straight years and never pitched for another big league team.
Shoulder injuries have plagued him later in his career though, and the pain has finally forced him to give up the game. Friends, family, and teammates surrounded Radke at his farewell news conference in the Metrodome. Some of them wept, but Radke insisted the occasion should be a happy one.
