The Human Rights Program at the University of Minnesota is hosting an international conference this week to explore the relationship between tourism and child sex trafficking. The conference will bring together travel agencies, government tourism officials and human rights experts. Organizers say one of the consequences of easy and cheap global travel is an increase in the reported sexual exploitation of children in tourist destinations. Barbara Frey is director of the university's human rights program.
