A St. Paul man has been found guilty in the shooting deaths of six Wisconsin deer hunters. Thirty-six-year-old Chai Vang was also found guilty in the attempted murder of two other hunters in a confrontation over a deer stand last fall. The week-long trial ended yesterday. The jury rendered a verdict after three-and-a-half hours of deliberations. The trial exposed the long-running racial tensions between white and Hmong hunters. And some people feared the entire Hmong community would be tried along with Vang. Lee Pao Xiong is the Director of the Center for Hmong Studies at Concordia University in St. Paul said that should not have been the case.
