During the 1930s, hundreds of talented composers had their work suppressed in Germany by the Nazi regime. Some were Jewish, while others simply overstepped the bounds of what German leaders deemed acceptable. Coppock says the Nazis went to all lengths to purge Germany of degenerate art.
